Day 5-Amboseli to Serena Mountain Lodge Nyeri via Nairobi
Early morning breakfast at the Amboseli Serena Lodge. After breakfast depart for Serena Mountain Lodge via Nairobi Serena for lunch. After lunch drive north through the famed Kenyan highlands onto Mountain Kenya National Park. Arrive at Serena Mountain Lodge located at 2194 metres on the slopes of Mount Kenya. Here you will experience the sights and sounds of the African bush and view wild animals at the water hole from the balcony while sipping your favorite drink.

Day 6- Mountain Lodge to Nairobi onto Masai Mara.
Breakfast at Serena Mountain Lodge, then depart for Nairobi to arrive in time for Lunch at the Nairobi Serena Hotel. At 14h00 depart for Wilson Airport and connect on scheduled Air Kenya flight for Masai Mara departing at 15h30. Arrive at Mara at 16h15, met and transfer to Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Check in and proceed on for late afternoon game.

THE ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK

2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT.

The Aberdares is located 160kms from North of Nairobi. It was declared a Nation park in 1950. It is renowned for its famous and luxurious tree hotels, the ARK and the TREETOPS. Its at the Treetops the then young Princess Elizabeth was staying when she became Queen in 1952. Here you will see the Lion, Elephant, Black rhino, Leopard, Monkeys, warthogs, and the elusive but beautiful Bongo antelope.

DAY 01: You depart early morning, travel North past the Chania Falls at Thika and through coffee, sisal and pineapple plantations to Mweiga arriving in time for lunch at the Aberdare Country Club or at the Outspan. In the afternoon you transfer to one of the tree hotels and enjoy game view at the treetops. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 02: You return to the base hotel for breakfast. After breakfast return to Nairobi.

LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

A day trip to this park is ideal if you are visiting Nairobi with a tight schedule. The park is 160kms (2hours) from Nairobi. You drive out of Nairobi and down the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley before descending the Rift Valley. You drive past the extinct volcano Mt. Longonot to arrive in the L. Nakuru National Park an ornithologist's paradise to see the huge numbers of flamingo which are concentrated along the lakeshore. In addition to the birdlife there are many different wildlife species in the park including Lion, Leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, zebra, impala, hyena, waterbuck etc. The day is spent driving around the park with lunch at one of the lodges located in the park. There is also the option of carrying packed lunch from your city hotel. You get back to Nairobi just before sunset. PRICE: US$ 180/= Per Person. Minimum 4 People.

LAKE NAIVASHA

Naivasha is just about an hour drive from Nairobi. The Lake is one of the two fresh water lakes in the Rift Valley, Lake Baringo is the other. The Lake is circled almost entirely by flower farms and lately there has been concern among environmentalists regarding pollution of the Lake water by this firms. This notwithstanding you can still enjoy a boat ride to see Hippos and the numeral birds that are found here. For scenery lovers hells Gate National Park is not to be missed.It's the only Park in Kenya where Biking and walking is allowed. This is where parts of Angelina Jolie's movie, the Tomb Raider was shot. A climb Mt. Longonot also a National Park is worth climbing for the fabulous views in every direction as you circle the rim.
